Winter Weather Updates: Thursday, February 24, 2022

The Tulsa area is still under a winter storm warning through 6 PM this evening, but we do not expect to get as much precipitation as yesterday. We will likely see freezing rain and light snow intermittently throughout the day.

Snow crews continue to clear the runway and taxiways as needed. Our team is also working hard to clear airport roadways and sidewalks to keep customers safe.

Check with your airline for flight status info before leaving for the airport as there have been cancellations and delays. Please allow yourself plenty of time to travel safely to the airport.

8:15 AM: The main runway and taxiways remain open. Airlines have proactively canceled several flights already today.

1:45 PM: Most flights for the late afternoon and evening are still scheduled to depart on time, but there have been some cancellations and delays. Check with your airline for your flight status. The main runway is still open and snow crews are working to clear taxiways. We do not expect much more precipitation, if any at all, for the rest of the day.
