Airport Officials and Promise Hotels Celebrate Opening of New Home2 Suites, and Announce Plans to Build Convenience Store
TULSA, OK – December 14, 2023 – Promise Hotels staff and airport officials celebrated the opening of the new Home2 Suites hotel, which is a 103-guest suite property that offers travelers a convenient option when flying through Tulsa. The event brought key stakeholders and community leaders together, including Mayor Bynum, Tulsa County Commissioner Stan Sallee, and Tulsa Regional Chamber President and Chief Executive Officer, Mike Neal.
The property is the second hotel onsite at the airport, the other being the Hilton Garden Inn Tulsa Airport, which is also owned and operated by Promise Hotels. The contractor for this project was Integrity Construction, and the architect of record was W Design.
The hotel features accommodations with in-suite kitchens, complimentary WiFi, and the property is equipped with an integrated fitness area and laundry room, allowing guests to do laundry while they work out.
“We are thrilled to be opening the Home2 Suites hotel at Tulsa International Airport,” said Pete Patel, President and CEO of Promise Hotels. “This new addition marks our commitment to providing travelers with convenient and comfortable accommodations. We are confident that this hotel will be a valuable asset to the Tulsa community and will play a significant role in attracting visitors and boosting the local economy.”
“Today marks a special moment as we officially welcome the community to this convenient, modern hotel,” said Alexis Higgins, Chief Executive Officer at Tulsa International Airport.” ”We look forward to the positive impact it will have on our visitors’ experience and are grateful for our partnership with the Patels.”
“The opening of this asset marks the 15th Home2 Suites by Hilton in the wonderful state of Oklahoma,” said Patrick Speer, VP and Managing Director of Development at Hilton. “Hilton is extremely excited to have a best-in-class brand like Home2 Suites by Hilton at the doorstep of Tulsa International Airport.”
In addition to the new hotel opening, today the Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust approved an agreement with the Patels newest business venture, TNP Fuels, LLC, to build a convenience store on-site at the airport. The convenience store will serve passengers who need to fill fuel tanks before returning their rental cars. It will also be a handy option for the thousands of people who work at or around the airport, and those who live in the surrounding neighborhoods. Construction of the convenience store is scheduled to begin in April 2024.
