TULSA, OKLA – March 18, 2026 – Tulsa International Airport (TUL) and Alaska Airlines today celebrated the launch of new daily nonstop flights to Seattle (SEA) and San Diego (SAN), two of the airport’s most requested destinations.
Passengers on the inaugural flights were welcomed at the gate with local live music, a coffee bar, celebratory treats and giveaways. Leaders from Tulsa International Airport, the City of Tulsa, Tulsa County and the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics gathered to mark the milestone and highlight the importance of the new service for both business and leisure travelers.
Seattle and San Diego have long ranked among Tulsa International Airport’s top unserved markets. The new routes strengthen connections to key innovation and aerospace hubs while providing travelers with convenient access to two of the West Coast’s most popular destinations. The service also supports Tulsa’s growing business and technology sectors and expands opportunities to attract visitors, talent and investment to the region.

“Bringing new air service to Tulsa takes years of partnership and persistence. This launch is a great example of what can happen when our airport, local leaders and business community work together to grow connectivity for our region,” said Alexis Higgins, Chief Executive Officer of Tulsa International Airport. “These routes have been at the top of our community’s wish list for years. We’re grateful to Alaska Airlines for recognizing the strength of the Tulsa market and helping connect our travelers to the West Coast and beyond.”
“We’re thrilled to connect guests in Tulsa to two of Alaska’s dynamic hub cities – Seattle and San Diego – with nonstop service,” said Kirsten Amrine, vice president of revenue management and network planning at Alaska Airlines. “Beyond exploring vibrant coastal cities, these new routes will enable seamless connections to the Hawaiian Islands as well as Asia and the South Pacific. We look forward to introducing Tulsans to the award-winning care Alaska is known for.”
“Moments like this represent years of collaboration and a shared commitment to strengthening our area’s future,” said Tulsa County Commissioner Stan Sallee. “Investments that expand opportunity and keep our region connected help position our area for continued growth and success. Tulsa County is proud to be part of the partnerships that keep our region moving forward.”
“The State of Oklahoma is proud to partner with the Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust and support them with the launch of these new routes,” said Grayson Ardies, Executive Director of the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics. “In 2022 when the Oklahoma Legislature approved a statewide commercial air service development program it was exactly this scenario which they envisioned, ensuring Oklahomans have increased access to fast and convenient air transportation options while offering better connectivity and enhanced efficiency for the business community.”
