American Airlines Launches New Nonstop Service from Tulsa to Austin, Washington, D.C., and Miami

TULSA, OK – November 2, 2021 – This week, American Airlines and Tulsa International Airport are celebrating nonstop service to three new destinations: Austin (AUS), Washington, D.C. (DCA) and Miami (MIA). The new nonstop flights to these popular business and vacation destinations will be offered year-round. With the addition of these routes, American Airlines now has nonstop service to 8 destinations from Tulsa International Airport.

“Air service expansion has continually been a priority for the airport and we are extremely grateful for American’s new three route expansion here in Tulsa,” said Alexis Higgins, CEO of Tulsa International Airport. “All three of these new nonstop routes have long been desired by the community, and we look forward to watching Tulsans utilize and support the routes to make them long term successes.”

“Austin, Washington, D.C., and Miami were three of our largest unserved markets from Tulsa, and we are thrilled to have all three now available nonstop from TUL,” said Andrew Pierini, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Tulsa International Airport. “The ability to do a day trip for business to and from the nation’s capital, fly nonstop to South Florida and have additional access to connect beyond into the Caribbean and South America, and have a one hour flight down to the live music capital of the world, are all examples of why TUL has placed such a large emphasis on growing our nonstop route options from the airport.”
