Over 120,000 passengers boarded a plane at Tulsa International Airport in November, making it the busiest November in a decade.  Airlines reported 120,605 revenue enplanements for the month of November, up 2.6% over last November.

Airport CEO, Mark VanLoh, attributes the increased activity to good weather and more low fare options for Tulsa travelers.  VanLoh said, “Our efforts to bring additional service to the Tulsa market have been successful, especially with low fare carriers.  Even legacy carriers are now offering new low-priced ticketing options, which makes traveling home for the holidays an easy decision.”

The increased activity follows a busy October, which saw year over year growth of 8.3%.  As this year comes to a close, airport officials expect the holiday season to be especially busy.  Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust Chair, Jeff Stava, is optimistic about ending the year on a good note.  Stava said, “As activity continues to increase, it shows airlines that Tulsa is an expanding market.  It’s a great story to tell.”
