TULSA, OK – April 2, 2019 – American Airlines celebrated the launch of new service today from Tulsa to their growing focus city operation at Los Angeles International Airport.  The flight will operate daily with a schedule that accommodates both business and vacation travelers looking to connect with one of the nation’s most popular music and film destinations.

The Los Angeles basin is Tulsa’s second most popular destination. Tulsa International Airport C.E.O. Alexis Higgins said, “The addition of LAX service is a huge win for Tulsa. With nearly 600 people a day traveling between the two cities, this will absolutely be a popular flight with Tulsa travelers.”

American Airlines is the largest carrier at LAX with more than 200 daily flights on peak days to 70 destinations and is the only airline with nonstop service to five continents. With three Admirals Club lounges and the recent addition of a Flagship Lounge and Flagship First Dining, American offers the most premium amenities of any carrier at LAX.  The addition of Flagship Lounge and Flagship First Dining are part of a $200 million investment in American’s premium travel experience.

Departs LAX for TUL at 12:41 PM and arrives to TUL at 5:38 PM

Departs TUL for LAX at 6:16 PM and arrives to LAX at 7:55 PM

American Airlines is one of the seven carriers to operate at Tulsa International Airport.  With the addition of service to Los Angeles International Airport, Tulsa travelers will now have service to 19 airports in 16 cities.
