TULSA, OKLA – April 21, 2026 – Tulsa International Airport (TUL), in partnership with TNP Fuels, celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Fuel & Fly Mart today, marking the debut of the airport’s first-ever onsite convenience store.
Pete and Tina Patel, airport officials, and city and community leaders spoke during the ceremony before cutting a ceremonial ribbon to officially open the store. Guests were then invited inside for tours of the new facility and to sample menu offerings.
Located adjacent to the airport’s Cell Phone Lot and behind the Hilton Garden Inn, Fuel & Fly Mart provides a new level of convenience for travelers, airport employees, and the surrounding workforce. The store offers fuel and EV charging services, a drive-thru, and a variety of grab-and-go food options, including fresh deli selections, pizza and chicken.
Fuel & Fly Mart is owned and operated by TNP Fuels, a business founded by Pete and Tina Patel, co-principals of Promise Hotels LLC. The Patels also own and operate multiple hotel properties on airport grounds, including the Hilton Garden Inn and Home2 Suites by Hilton Tulsa Airport.
“This is an exciting day for us and for Tulsa International Airport,” said Pete Patel, president and CEO of Promise Hotels LLC. “Fuel & Fly Mart was designed to meet a real need in this area, and we’re proud to offer a convenient stop for travelers, employees and our neighboring businesses to fuel up and grab a quality meal.”
Strategically positioned to serve rental car customers, rideshare drivers, and airport visitors, Fuel & Fly Mart enhances the overall customer experience by providing easy access to fuel and food options just minutes from the terminal. The location is also expected to serve thousands of employees working nearby, including those at major employers such as Boeing, American Airlines Tech Ops, UPS and FedEx.
“The opening of Fuel & Fly Mart is a wonderful addition to the growing amenities we offer at Tulsa International Airport,” said Alexis Higgins, CEO of Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust. “We’re committed to creating a seamless and welcoming experience for everyone who visits or works at TUL, and this new convenience store is a great example of how thoughtful partnerships can bring valuable services to our campus.”
Originally announced in 2025, the $5.5 million project was developed through a collaborative effort involving Schemmer as architect, Paragon Solutions for store layout and design, and Kleinco Construction as the general contractor. Financing was provided by Firstar Bank and TEDC Creative Capital.
With today’s ribbon cutting, Fuel & Fly Mart is now open and ready to serve customers, further supporting the airport’s continued growth and commitment to enhancing the travel experience in Tulsa. Fuel & Fly is located at 7805 E Virgin St N, Tulsa, OK 74115 and operates 24/7/365.
