TULSA, OK – May 15, 2019 – Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust (TAIT) recently announced two new positions to their Executive Leadership team. Chuck Hannum has been named Chief Operating Officer and Jonathan Gobbo has been named Director of Real Estate.
As Chief Operating Officer, Hannum is responsible for providing operational leadership and direction for the traditional airport functions, including Airfield Operations, Airport Security and Law Enforcement, Information Technology, Engineering, and Facilities Maintenance.
“The true strength of Tulsa International Airport are the phenomenal employees that strive to make every visitor’s experience a memorable one,” Hannum said. “I look forward to continuing to work with this dedicated staff as we look to the future of the Airport complex and the continuing growth of the aviation industry.”
Hannum is a 20-year employee of TAIT, having previously served as an Operations and Law Enforcement Officer, Airport Security Manager, and most recently as the Deputy Airports Director for Operations and Law Enforcement. Hannum is a retired Army aviator and holds a bachelor’s degree in aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a master’s degree in business administration from Phoenix University.
As Director of Real Estate, Gobbo is responsible for not only managing over 300 leases between Tulsa International Airport and R.L Jones Jr. Airport, but he is also spearheading the effort to promote and develop over 700 acres currently available at TUL.
“Chuck and Jonathan bring over 30 years of experience to our leadership team, and we could not be more excited for their fresh perspective,” said Alexis Higgins, CEO of Tulsa Airports. “With the addition of these two new roles, we are ready to further TAIT’s operational capacity and property portfolio, making a TUL a top contender for future development.”
Gobbo comes from a real estate brokering background, where he spent the last 14 years with Keller Williams Realty and KW Commercial. His last position was the Director of Commercial Real Estate for Northeast Oklahoma for KW Commercial, where he and his partner led KW Commercial as the top commercial brokers in Oklahoma for KWC.
Gobbo is excited to match up two passions of real estate and flying. Gobbo said, “I’m looking forward to growing the portfolio for TAIT along with expanding Tulsa’s position in the aerospace industry. Aerospace is the second largest industry in Oklahoma and I am happy to now be a part of it.”
Gobbo spent almost 9 years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and ended his career as a Platoon Sergeant at the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6). Gobbo also holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Oklahoma State University.
