TUL Celebrates Opening of New Fulton Street Books Retail Kiosk

TULSA, OK – March 3, 2023 – Tulsa International Airport representatives held a ribbon cutting to celebrate the grand opening of Fulton Street Books’ new airport kiosk this morning.

Fulton Street Books is the only Black-owned bookstore in Tulsa, and the new airport kiosk is their first expansion since launching their original location in north Tulsa in 2020. The new retail kiosk will offer travelers a taste of what their north Tulsa location offers, such as books and Fulton Street Books merchandise, as well as items from various other local businesses.

Fulton Street Books Tulsa International Airport Kiosk Details:

  • Located post-security in Connector Hall, next to the food court area toward Concourse B.
  • Operating hours: 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Seven days a week

“We are really excited to expand our operations to the Tulsa International Airport”, said Onikah Asamoa-Caesar, Owner and Founder of Fulton Street Books. “We are joining an amazing group of entrepreneurs and businesses and are looking forward to being just a small reflection and representation of so many of the amazing things Tulsa has to offer.”

The new location is opening just as Tulsa International Airport prepares for a busy spring break travel season. Compared to spring break 2022, seat capacity at TUL is up 25% this year. Airport officials expect approximately 280,000 passengers to travel through the airport over the month of March.
